Coupling with TCP/IP
Each controller (CTD01, CTD02, CTD03) has a USB port an and SD card on board. Optionally, each controller can have an Ethernet port on board. This Ethernet interface provides the user with the following functionalities:
Installation Configuration
Via the free configuration software (System Manager) the electrical installation can be configured on a PC and consequently uploaded to the SD card on the controller via the USB or the Ethernet port.
Multi-socket Remote Communication with the Qbus system
The Ethernet port can handle 5 simultaneous connections – one of these connections needs to be reserved to connect the configuration tool. Practically, this means that besides the configuration connection, the user can connect with the Qbus system simultaneously with 4 additional TCP/IP devices (e.g. one EQOweb webserver on his IPhone, two EQOmmand visualization and energy-management softwares on two laptops at home and one EQOmmand on a desktop at the office).
EQOmmand webserver
The EQOmmand webserver is a standard part of the Ethernet Port on a CTD Controller. Via the System Manager, up to 100 outputs subdivided in 6 menus can be coupled to the webserver. By logging in to the webserver via a browser (Chrome, Safari, IE, Firefox, Opera) on a PC or a mobile device such as an I-Phone, the user will get acces to the outputs on the webserver and hence be able to control his or her building from the mobile device. The webserver can be secured with a user-name and password. For a demo, check http://qbus.be/eqoweb/
Eventhandling
Every output change that happens on the bus (light turned on, dimmer to 34%, temperature changes 1 degree, CO2 concentration increases, …) creates an event which is logged on the SD Card of the Controller. Via the System Manager, the events can be downloaded (via the USB port or the Ethernet Port) to evaluate the behavior of your building. Via the Eco-dashboard application which is a standard part of the EQOmmand software, one can visualize these events in graphs or meters, allowing the user to take the necessary actions to optimize the behavior of his or her building and hence improve the energy efficiency, comfort and security of the building. Via the EQOmmand Pro software, the events of multiple Qbus Controllers can be visualized on the same screen.
