HabiTEQ
HabiTEQ is a range of pre-assembled custom electrical enclosures containing electrical components from GE and Qbus home automation modules. These cabinets are assembled and distributed by General Electric over Europe and the Middle East.
The HabiTEQ cabinets contain:
first, all necessary safety devices such as differentials, breakers, surge protection, contactors, power supplies, ... all this wired to numbered terminal strips.
second, a Qbus controller and all necessary Qbus output modules (dimmers, relays, shutters, SMS ,...) for controlling lighting, blinds, heating valves, air valves ... and input modules for connecting detectors and sensors, switches and control panels, remote controls, ventilation, internal alarm ... If desired, the cabinet can also contain a DIN-rail-mounted network switch for linking IP cameras, videophones, VoIP, ... or for displaying energy consumption and operating and monitoring the Qbus system via network.
These enclosures are made to measure for the customer, ranging from very small (4 relay outputs), to very large (400 outputs), to network-coupled cabinets where distances and numbers of outputs are no longer relevant.
HabiTEQ is already used today in holiday homes, hotel rooms, service flats, apartments, villas, SME buildings, shops and restaurants, schools, churches, offices, hospitals ,....
HabiTEQ in fact replaces the traditional electrical cabinet and connects all electrically-driven techniques with each other. Result: a radical simplification of the system coupled with a duplication of functionality in a guaranteed high wired cabinet.
Eventually, the 2-wire bus connects the HabiTEQ cabinet with the other bus-modules (all switches, displays, detectors, sensors, ...) in the building, offering a very transparent and easily adaptable, and hence flexible installation.
