Installation and wiring

  • Installation

    Installation Height

The recommended installation height for the device is 110 cm - 160 cm from the finished floor to the bottom of the display.

The display must be mounted in landscape orientation.

Installation of the Single Flush-Mount Box

Follow the supplied instructions from the flush-mount box manufacturer.

When using a fixed RJ45 connector, use an RJ45 connector without a boot. This is more compact and will offer greater flexibility.

    Recommended flush-mount boxes:

    • KAISER 9063-50 (depth 47mm)
    • HELIA 5021 (depth 48mm)

    Installing the Mounting Bracket

The QDisplay10 is delivered with a mounting bracket and two ST3x20 screws which must be used for installation.

    • Ensure that the arrow on the front of the flush module points upwards.
    • Set the torque of the electric screwdriver to 5 kgf·cm.
    • Attach the module with two ST3x20 screws to the flush mount box.
    • Ensure the module is mounted level and flush with the wall surface.

    Q Display Monteren
    • Ensure the panel is securely mounted and sits flush with the wall.
    • Locate the two screw holes at the bottom of the panel (each already has a screw).
    • Tighten both screws using the provided Allen key.
    Q Display Monteren2

    Starting the QDisplay10

The device powers on automatically when activated. Wait for the device to boot up. When the device is connected to a network switch via an Ethernet cable, it receives a network address through DHCP and automatically connects.

    Removing the QDisplay10

    • Use the hex key to loosen the two screws at the bottom until the back of the panel is released.
    • Hold the top of the panel with one hand and pull the bottom forward to remove the panel.

    Connection options on the back of the display;

    • + terminal: Connect to the positive wire of a 12–24 VDC power supply if PoE or PoE+ is not used.
    • – terminal: Connect to the negative wire of a 12–24 VDC power supply if PoE or PoE+ is not used.
    • Bell-in: Dry contact input, optional. Can be connected to a traditional doorbell.
    • Relay output: 1-channel relay output, suitable for 0–30 VDC with a nominal current of 2 A. Optional.
    • RJ45 port: When connected to a PoE switch, both data and power are provided. When connected to a non-PoE switch, only the data connection is provided, and the display must be powered with the 12–24 VDC power supply.

    Connecting wiring;

    • Use wires with a conductor cross-section of 1.5 mm² to 2.5 mm² with stripped and straight ends.
    • Strip approximately 8 mm of insulation from each wire.

      Power supply

    • PoE: Connect an Ethernet cable from a PoE switch to the PoE port of the panel.
    • 12–24 V: Connect the positive and negative wires of the power adapter to the +- and -- terminals.

      Wired network connection

    • Insert the RJ45 network cable into the Ethernet port.

Connection of a traditional doorbell (optional)

    • Connect the doorbell wires to the IO and Power_GND terminals.

Connection of the relay output (optional)

    • Connect the negative wire to COM. If an external power supply is needed, connect accordingly.
    • Connect the positive wire to NO or NC, depending on the desired default contact position.

Note: When connecting an electric strike, it is strongly recommended to add a rectifier diode (flyback diode) to protect the circuit.
