The Qbus Stand-Alone solution gave us the opportunity to provide basic functionality on a limited budget, which all buyers see as added value.
"Each apartment features an All Off button at the front door that allows the resident to switch off the lighting, the screens (according to their preferences), and the coffee machine outlet with a single press. In the master bedroom, there is also an All Off button, plus a panic button that can, for example, activate the garden lighting. The Qbus Stand-Alone system also includes timers so that, for instance, the night hall lighting automatically turns off after 20 minutes.”
The basic system is standard in every apartment; if buyers want more features, they can simply add the intelligent Qbus Controller in the designated slot in the electrical cabinet. This can be done immediately or even after 5 years, as Qbus systems remain fully compatible with earlier versions.
“With this basic setup, we provide a solution for future-proof, life-cycle adapted apartments,” says Frederik Huys. Customers who purchase their apartment at age 65 can choose to upgrade their Qbus Stand-Alone system to a full Qbus system after a few years. They can then use additional emergency buttons and/or detectors to send alarms to neighbors, family, or even a care organization when needed.”
