Frequently Asked Questions
-
How do you read an existing configuration?
This is a completely different procedure depending on the type of controller.
- For the CTD controllers this goes as follows:
In the SMIII via "File" or "Utilities / Setup / SD card", click on "Recover QDB from SD".
After confirmation you choose the name and location where the file should be saved. The zipped QDB file is then read from the SD card of the CTD and saved. With a positive answer to the question "Unzip and open restored QDB?", All data will then be immediately available. If the data you were still working on was not sent or saved, you will first receive a notification to do so.
- For a CTL controller follow the following procedure:
Because this controller does not yet have a large memory, only limited data can be recovered. Ao the names are abbreviated to 12 characters and serial numbers are not stored anywhere.
The first step is therefore to type in ALL serial numbers via SMII via "File / Modules". These 6-digit serial numbers can be found on every module (DIN rail, switch, detector, etc.). For the SWC0x switches, an extra option was provided to have them send their serial number via “Search for modules”.
When you then click on the "down arrow", you can read all this limited information.
-
Always use the latest software for configuration.
It is always recommended to use the most recent version. This version supports the newest modules and resolves all known bugs.
If, for example, you enter a serial number and the correct module information does not appear, you are likely not working with the most recent software.
A newer version will always be able to open the older files (.QDB) without data loss.
The latest version of the System Manager software, along with the user manual and version history, can be found in the knowledge center.

Function description
The Qbus video intercom door station combines technology and design. With a single press of a button, it connects to the Qbus Control App, allowing a notification to appear on the smartphone, tablet, or any other device running the app. Thanks to the early-media technology, you can see who is at the door before answering the call. When the call is answered, both audio and video connections are established, allowing you to speak with the guest and, if desired, grant access.
The 140° camera is subtly integrated behind the glass panel. A light sensor automatically switches the camera to night mode when needed.
Relay contacts: 2 contacts available.
The Qbus door station also considers design: the combination of black anodized brushed aluminum and black glass adds extra appeal to any facade.
The Qbus door station is available in a version with 1 call button (QSD01/BB) and a version with 1 call button and code keypad (QSD01K/BB), which can control relays. The included mounting box is used for both flush and surface mounting.
The microphone volume can be adjusted independently of the speaker volume.

Connect
Position the mounting frame on or in the wall with the integrated slot facing downward. It is recommended to maintain a height of 1.40m from the bottom of the frame to the ground.
Ensure the UTP cable for the network, without a connector, is present at the location, as well as a cable for the electric lock or a separate 12V DC power supply if required.
Slide the cover plate over the cables and attach an RJ45 connector to the UTP cable.
Connect the UTP cable to the video intercom and the separate cable to NO – COM of relay A or relay B. It is always best to open a door lock via an INP module.
Close the cover and use the appropriate cable grommet with seal plate to ensure the video intercom is waterproof. Mount the assembly with the 6 provided bolts.
Now place the video intercom in the housing and secure it with the 4 supplied Torx anti-theft bolts in the housing using the included screwdriver bit.
The configuration of this device is identical to the configuration of QSD01/BB.
This device has a code keypad with which you can operate a relay contact to, for example, activate a door lock.
