Qbus wireless Easywave remote - 1 button
- Reliable wireless communication with the Qbus system via the Easywave protocol
- Easily control any Qbus output with a single press of a button
- Can trigger any desired output (e.g. lighting, alarm, notification…) via configuration in System Manager III
- Built-in LED provides feedback during use
- Automatically sends a “Battery Low” warning
By pressing the button on this 1-key remote control, a wireless telegram is sent, which is picked up by the Qbus Wireless interface. By configuring it in the Qbus Configuration software, any Qbus output can be controlled with this remote control.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
How do you read an existing configuration?
This is a completely different procedure depending on the type of controller.
- For the CTD controllers this goes as follows:
In the SMIII via "File" or "Utilities / Setup / SD card", click on "Recover QDB from SD".
After confirmation you choose the name and location where the file should be saved. The zipped QDB file is then read from the SD card of the CTD and saved. With a positive answer to the question "Unzip and open restored QDB?", All data will then be immediately available. If the data you were still working on was not sent or saved, you will first receive a notification to do so.
- For a CTL controller follow the following procedure:
Because this controller does not yet have a large memory, only limited data can be recovered. Ao the names are abbreviated to 12 characters and serial numbers are not stored anywhere.
The first step is therefore to type in ALL serial numbers via SMII via "File / Modules". These 6-digit serial numbers can be found on every module (DIN rail, switch, detector, etc.). For the SWC0x switches, an extra option was provided to have them send their serial number via “Search for modules”.
When you then click on the "down arrow", you can read all this limited information.
-
Always use the latest software for configuration.
It is always recommended to use the most recent version. This version supports the newest modules and resolves all known bugs.
If, for example, you enter a serial number and the correct module information does not appear, you are likely not working with the most recent software.
A newer version will always be able to open the older files (.QDB) without data loss.
The latest version of the System Manager software, along with the user manual and version history, can be found in the knowledge center.

Function description
The QWE RC01/pulse is a single-button remote control. Pressing the button sends a wireless telegram that is picked up by the QWI/EW. By configuring it in System Manager III, this control can execute an action on another wireless module and/or a bus-controlled module.
The QWE RC01/pulse has a built-in battery. If the battery capacity is low, the indicator LED will blink during operation.

Installation and wiring

Check Battery
The battery voltage is checked by the module each time:
- one of the buttons is pressed
- At least once every 24 hours after sending the last status.
As soon as the battery status is deemed weak, a “Battery Low” signal is sent at least once every 4 hours.
Once the battery is depleted, the red LED will blink 3 times briefly at a 20-second interval and the low-voltage telegram will be sent automatically. It is advisable to replace the battery at this point. (see “Replacing the Battery”)
If the voltage continues to drop, the module will shut itself down and no status changes will be transmitted.
-
Battery replacement
- Insert a small object (for example: a flathead screwdriver) into the slot at the back of the transmitter and open the casing.
2. Replace the battery. Use only the battery type CR2032.
Note: Ensure that the positive terminal is visible on top. Keep batteries out of reach of children!
3. Close the enclosure.
Note: The connection of the module to the QWI/EW remains intact, and you do not need to take any further steps for this.

Troubleshooting
If the receiver does not respond to this module:
- Check the battery status.
- Verify that the wireless connection in the installation is not disrupted between this module and the QWI/EW.
- Check the configuration of the QWI/EW and whether the link with this module is still active.
- Ensure that other wireless devices operating on the same frequency or in close proximity do not interfere with the functioning of this product.
If the LED does not light up:
- Replace the battery. (Ensure the battery polarity is correct.)
