Install and wire
-
Installation
- Pass the bus cable through the large opening on the back of the SENTube.
- Cut the wires to the same height as the SENTube (50mm).
- When connecting the bus, you will have a total of 8 cores.
- Strip each core by 10mm.
- For further connecting the wires, there are two options
- Option A: use the bus cable provided with the sensor and twist the red with yellow wires together. Then twist the black with white wires together. Create a solder connection and place a heat shrink tube over the twisted wires.
- Option B: use two Wago connectors to connect the red-yellow and black-white wires of the EIB cable and sensor bus cable.
- Now mark the holes for the screws with a pencil
- Drill the holes
- Place the box against the ceiling or wall and secure it with two screws
- Push the Wagos or soldered cable connections as far as possible into the surface-mounted housing.
- Gently push the sensor into the surface-mounted housing. The sensor's springs should remain in the closed position (rest position) for this.
Ensure that you do not press on the sensor surface. This may cause irreparable damage to the sensor.
-
Power Supply
The sensor is powered via the bus.

BUS connection
It is recommended to use the Qbus cable or any other cable with a minimum of 2 conductors of 1mm² as the bus cable. The green shielded EIB cable can also be used if the conductors are paired to achieve a minimum cross-section of 2 x 1mm².
