Installation
Installation Height
The recommended mounting height for the device is 145 cm -165 cm from the finished floor to the center of the unit.
The device can be mounted and oriented in portrait or landscape.
Installation of the Bticino 506E Wall Mount Box
ATTENTION: The Bticino 506E wall mount box must be mounted with the fixing holes at the top and bottom (rotated 90°).
Installing the Mounting Bracket
The UbieTouch comes with a stainless steel mounting bracket that must be used for installation. The screw holes of the mounting bracket align with the screw holes of a Bticino 506E wall mounting box. Ensure the bracket is level before tightening the secured screws onto the device.
Mounting the UbieTouch
1. First, loosen the secured screws on the device. Screws should not be moved away from the device. Comply with the indicated line.
2. Align the hooks of the mounting frame with the mounting slots and gently pull the device down from the mounting bracket. Ensure that the mounting hooks are securely fastened.
3. To complete the installation, tighten the 2 secured screws at the bottom of the device to attach the device to the mounting bracket.
4. For portrait orientation, rotate the mounting bracket 90 degrees counterclockwise for installation.
Starting the UbieTouch
The device starts automatically when it is powered on. Wait for the device to boot up. When the device is connected to a network switch via an Ethernet cable, it receives a network address via DHCP and automatically connects to the system.
Removing the UbieTouch
Loosen the 2 secured screws on the device and then pull slightly straight up from the mounting frame to disconnect the device.

Power supply
Connecting the device to power
The device is designed to be powered via the Ethernet connection (PoE) or by connecting a 24V DC power supply (not included), but not both. If both the PoE and a 24V DC power supply are connected, the device will draw power from the 24V DC source.
PoE connection
PoE connection requires the IEEE 802.3af standard. Use a network switch or PoE injector that meets this standard. Connect the device using a standard T568A or T568B Ethernet cable from the network switch to the LAN / Po port on the back of the device.
24V DC power supplyYou can provide power to the device locally or remotely by using a 24V DC power supply (not included). Please note that the wire runs through the wall in accordance with local codes when using local power supply. If powering remotely, ensure to use a wire suitable for the length of the run. Use an approved 24V DC power supply.
Check the polarity of the round connector on your power supply before connecting it to the device. The center pin of the device’s power connector is positive, and the outer ring is negative. If the wire is extended, ensure the routing complies with local codes. Insert the connector into the DC port on the back of the device.
