Huawei
Qbus energy management supports the following types of Huawei inverters;
- SUN2000 (optionally with Luna battery)
!When controlled with Luqas, the Huawei cannot be used in combination with the Huawei SmartGuard.
Before starting the configuration, ensure that the latest firmware is installed (see also Annex 4 for more information).
A Wifi dongle (type SDongleA-05) is required for three-phase inverters! It is always required.For detailed instructions, go to:

- Install the Huawei Fusion app (via Huawei App Gallery) and log in with your Fusion account
- Connect to the device via Device, Device Startup, scanning the QR code and making the connection with the WLAN of the device.
- Log in with installer and enter the password. (default: 00000a)
- Then update the inverter via Maintenance and Upgrade. Check for upgrades multiple times.
- Go to Settings - Communication Configuration - Parameter Settings - Modbus TCP' click on Connect and enable it.
- Go to Settings - Communication Configuration - Settings with inverter connected router. Here you can turn off DHCP for the WLAN connection and set a fixed IP address. This IP address is required in the Luqas configuration wizard.
- Restart the inverter.

SMA
Qbus energy management supports the following SMA inverter types;
- Sunny Tripower Smart Energy series (5.0kW/6.0kW/8.0kW/10.0kW)
- STP5.0-3SE-40
- STP6.0-3SE-40
- STP8.0-3SE-40
- STP10.0-3SE-40
! For intelligent control, the SMA energy meter or SMA Sunny Home Manager is necessary. Verify their presence.
! The communication between Luqas and the SMA inverter occurs via Modbus TCP. Modbus TCP is by default NOT enabled on the SMA Tripower Smart Energy inverters.
Here you will find the steps to activate Modbus TCP;
- Stand next to the inverter and use your smart device to search for WiFi networks.
- Select the SSID of the SMA product from the list of found networks and connect using the password available on the label.
- Alternatively, you can also connect via the Ethernet cable. Ensure your PC is in the same network as the IP of the inverter (IP visible on the label).
- Open your smart device's web browser and enter “https://smalogin.net” in the address bar.
- Log in with users' rights “installer”
- Go to “device parameters” -> “external communication” -> “Modbus” -> “TCP Server”.
- Set “Activated/Enabled” to “Yes”
- Verify that the port is set to “502” .
- Change the IP settings to a static IP for connection with the local network.
- Click on “Opslaan”/”Save All”.
As a final step, check if the inverter's firmware is up-to-date.

Use the Pocket Wifi+LAN dongle (product 1040060001) for the Wifi or LAN connection
- Connect to the inverter's Wi-Fi network and navigate to 192.168.10.10
- Log in with user-id 'admin' and the password mentioned on the QR code of the dongle
- Go to the static tab and complete the SSID information. Set the IP address to a fixed address
- Use the fixed IP address in the configuration wizard of the Luqas.

! For intelligent control, the Sungrow smart energy meter is necessary. Verify its presence.
! The inverter is supplied with a communication module named “WiNet-S2” for direct Ethernet communication or Wi-Fi communication.
Connect via WiFi (press and hold the red button on the WiFi dongle for a few seconds to activate the connection) or via LAN (IP address on sticker of inverter). Default IP: 11.11.11.1 or 102.10.100.254.
- Access the local web server and ensure you have administrator/installer access.
- Go to “Settings” -> “Communication Parameters” -> select protocol: Modbus/Modbus-TCP.
- Select port: 502.
- Go to IP settings and configure a static IP, gateway, and subnet for connection to the local network.
- Confirm the settings.
- Check if the firmware is up-to-date.
