Assembling the dashboard

 

In a Qbus Building Control Dashboard, you have 3 different possibilities to create a display.

 

QBC 1

Classic Display

You can primarily use a classic display to control all devices in your building

QBC 2

Grid Display

A Grid display provides you with a Dashboard where you have an overview of the selected controls in a grid view.

Technical Display

In this display, you can freely place controls on an image

  • Introduction

    On the Qbus Building Control dashboard, you can create several main groups (2) under each installation (1).
    Under each main group, you can create groups (3). A group can have a classic, grid, or technical display.

    To create or modify groups, we need to activate the configuration mode (4).

  • Configuration mode

    If you have previously created groups, you can use the submenu (1) to edit the group's name or delete the group.
    By clicking on the three stripes (2) and holding the mouse button, you can move the group.

    You can create a new group with the ADD GROUP (3) button.

  • Groups

    Main Group

    1. Name the main group
    2. Set to MAIN GROUP
    3. Click the arrow to save the group

    A main group appears in the overview as a group that you can expand and collapse. 
    Under a main group, you can have one or more subgroups.

    Group

    1. Give the group a name
    2. Set to GROUP
    3. Select under which main group you want to create this group
    4. Choose what type of group you want to create
    5. If you want to create the group manually, select no; for an automatic group: Yes ***
    6. Click on the arrow to proceed to the next step

    *** For a classic group, you have the option to assemble it automatically based on:
    * Location: Choose from the list which location you want to add the outputs from (this is only possible if you have created spaces in System Manager)
    * Output type: Select from the list which output types you want to group.

     

     

  • Classic display

    The middle section now shows us an empty group, with the menu on the right side we can add outputs to this group.

     

    1. On the lower right, we have drop-down lists of all activated controllers. Click to open a list to make the outputs visible.
    2. By clicking on an output it is added to our group.
    3. With the filter button, we can set a filter on controller, output type, and location. This makes the list of outputs under a controller more manageable, allowing you to quickly find the output you want to add.
    4. Here you have a field where you can enter an output name to search for it

    Add all the outputs you want to have in this group. You can then drag and drop the outputs within the group to rearrange them.
    With the cross (4)  you can remove an output and with the gear (5) you can adjust the properties of the output such as:

    • Name of the output
    • The icon
    • Read-only (if the output is not to be operated)
    • Voice controlled (if you want to operate the output with Alexa or Amazon)
  • Grid view

    The middle section now shows us an empty group; with the menu on the right side, we can add outputs to this group.

     

    1. On the bottom right, we have expandable lists of all activated controllers. Click to expand a list to display the outputs.
    2. By clicking on an output, it is added to our group.
    3. With the filter button, we can set a filter on controller, output type, and location. This makes the output list under a controller more manageable and allows you to quickly find the output you want to add.
    4. Here you have a field where you can enter the name of an output to search for it.

    Add all outputs you want to have in this group. After that, you can drag the outputs within the group to place them elsewhere.
    With the cross mark (4), you can remove an output, and with the gear icon (5), you can adjust properties of the output such as:

    • Name of the output
    • The icon
    • Read-only (if the output should not be operated)
    • Voice controlled (if you want to operate the output with Alexa or Amazon)

    You can also adjust the names of the columns (7) and rows (8) by clicking on them.
    Use the cross mark to delete an entire row (9) or column
    And with the plus sign, you can add a new column (10) or row (11)

  • Technical display

    The middle section now shows us an empty group, with the menu on the right side allowing us to add outputs to this group.

    1. With the upload image button, we can select an image to use as the background for our display.
    2. In the bottom right, we have expandable lists of all activated controllers. Click to open a list to reveal the outputs.
    3. By clicking on an output, it is added to our group.
    4. With the filter button, we can set a filter on controller, output type, and location. This makes the list of outputs under a controller more manageable and allows you to quickly find the output you want to add.
    5. Here you have a field where you can enter the name of an output to search for it.

    Add all the outputs you want in this display. You can then drag the outputs within the display to reposition them.
    With the cross (6) you can remove an output, and with the gear (7) you can adjust the properties of the output, such as:

    • Name of the output
    • The icon
    • Read-only (if the output should not be operated)
    • Voice controlled (if you want to operate the output with Alexa or Amazon)

    You can also add text (8), rectangles (9), and lines (10) to the image.
    In the right menu, you can also activate icons (11), where you will find a list of icons you can place on the image.
