"Here are my most sincere congratulations and thanks to everyone who has worked hard and contributed ideas in the full transition to Qbus regarding the HVAC installation," begins Jasper from AVC Gemino. The summer of 2023 was known as one with several heatwaves, but fortunately, since the switch to Qbus, the company's employees, for the first time, were in bearable temperatures. "Especially the difference from before in the zones on +1 is very noticeable."
A good regulation of temperature in the office is very important. It impacts the comfort level and productivity of the employees. AVC Gemino knew this too when they asked to replace their heating control with Qbus. The previous heating system could not be adjusted when it became too hot or too cold. When the server failed a while later and the lighting also became difficult to control, they decided to switch entirely to Qbus (and they have no regrets about it).
Qbus aims to control energy use as efficiently as possible. Unlike the situation before the Qbus installation, the heat pump is now used not only for cooling but also for heating. When the temperature during the mid-season permits, the heat pump is used for heating. If the outdoor temperature drops too low, the system automatically switches to the boiler. Thanks to this hybrid setup, the end customer significantly reduces their energy bill—something that was unfortunately not the case before.
The result is excellent!
“The result is excellent!” explains Jasper from AVC. “Last week was officially declared a heatwave, yet the temperature in the offices has remained very pleasant.” Now that the building is gaining an extra floor, it too will be managed by Qbus.
Thanks to their positive experience, the next step for AVC Gemino is smarter energy management. In the future, Qbus will monitor the energy generated by the solar panels in order to manage the customer’s energy use more intelligently.
