Content of the Upgrade
This software update makes your QSD videophone faster, smarter, and more user-friendly.
The upgrade provides additional comfort and safety:
- Faster live video with improved audio
- Ability to view and listen outside at any time
- Call history with pre- and post-visitor snapshots
- Smarter notifications and more control over calls
- Automatic detection and configuration of QSD via the Qbus control app
Additionally, the upgrade prepares your QSD videophone for future expansions and new features within the Qbus ecosystem.
Steps to Follow
This upgrade is possible from HW version 320.0. Below are the steps to verify this.
- Connect your QSD to your local network with a UTP Ethernet cable.
- Check if you have an Internet connection via your local network. This is necessary for the upgrade and migration of the QSD video intercom.
- Identify the IP address of the doorbell.
- For QSD01/BB: Press the push button for 5 seconds
- For QSD01K/BB: Dial "*3258*". The intercom will dictate the IP address.
- Access this IP address in your browser. This will lead you to the QSD login page.
- Check the hardware version of your QSD on this login page. This upgrade is possible from version 320.0.
- Download the new firmware here, and place it in a folder on your computer;
- Log in to the webpage
- Username: admin
- Password: adminQSD01
- Navigate to "Network", "Advanced", and ensure that both "Web Server HTTP Enabled" and "Web Server HTTPS Enabled" are checked. Check these and press "Submit" if they are not.
- Go to "Upgrade", "Basic", and click on "Select File". Browse/select the Qbus firmware file on your computer and then click on "Upgrade".
If your device was already connected to a Qbus Control or Qbus Building Control, you will need to reconnect it to transfer the data. Follow the steps below for guidance. Do not remove your device from your app, as this will result in data loss.
If your device was not yet connected in your app, you can now connect it by following the same steps below.
- Open Qbus Control or Qbus Building Control on your Smartphone and log in to the app.
- Navigate to "Settings".
- Click on "Installations" and then on the "+" icon.
- Switch the toggle to "I want to add my Ubie, controller, or doorbell to an existing installation", select your installation, and click the arrow icon.
- In the next screen, click on the "Doorbell" button.
- In the next screen, press the "Start Automatic Addition" button.
- Your device will now become visible. Select your device and click on the arrow icon.
- Finally, you can pair your smartphone with the doorbell so that you can receive the doorbell call on the smartphone you are using.
- If you do not wish to do this, press "no".
