The story behind the smart touch switches is one of Tom, Alexandre, architects, installers, and other people working in and with Qbus.
Customers are looking for a modern switch—one that works like a tablet or smartphone: customizable, stylish, functional, and affordable.
Tom translated these wishes into a glass design, customizable colors, a convenient second page, beveled corners, and self-positioning mounting clips. Alexandre studied and developed the underlying electronics: how a single touch button can perform multiple functions, what the ideal placement of capacitive touch areas is, and how to ensure the light from the colored LEDs reflects at the correct spot on the glass plate.
Designers, Architects, Installers
But the Tastu® story also includes the designers from Orange, who ensured the installation is plug & play; the Qbus installers who tested the Tastu® and demanded fingerprint-proof glass; and both local and international architects who proposed symbol-based versions and inspired the addition of matching power sockets to the range.
