The new headquarters of the long-established Dutch aviation company Fokker is a striking building with approximately 6,500 m² of floor space designed with sustainability and user experience as guiding principles. Sustainability is reflected, for example, in the use of a heat and cold pump, ample daylight access, and flexible control of all lighting to ensure an optimal user experience.

Gouweloos Elektrotechniek B.V. has partnered with Qbus Netherlands to implement a smart, centrally controlled touch screen system that allows real-time management of technical fault and alarm notifications directly from the reception area on the ground floor.

This intuitive interface also enables seamless control of site lighting, advertising illumination, building lighting, and outdoor lighting — all from one central point.

Inside the building, lighting is automated through motion sensors. The touch screen allows for all lights — or specific sections — to be switched on or off instantly upon entering or leaving the premises.

All system alerts, including those from technical installations, cooling systems, and even elevator malfunctions, are clearly displayed on the screen. Additionally, both visual and acoustic alarms from the accessible restroom can be monitored and reset directly via the same interface — ensuring a smart, safe, and user-friendly environment.
