Finding the perfect balance between clean design and ultimate comfort for residents is often a challenge in architecture and interior design. In this private home, a stunning new-build project, that balance has been achieved thanks to the integration of advanced Qbus automation.
Central control for maximum ease of use
This project consists of the main home, a separate garage, and stables that also serve as a workshop and party room. The entire site is controlled by a single CTD controller. This centralized approach delivers streamlined management and unmatched ease of use for the residents, who can operate every building and room with the press of a button or via their smartphone.
Custom lighting for ambiance and functionality
The lighting in this private home is a perfect example of how functionality and ambiance can go hand in hand. The complete design lighting is DALI-controlled (Digital Addressable Lighting Interface), which means each fixture can be operated individually. This is not only handy for creating the right mood in the home, but it also offers a very practical application in the stables. The LED High Bay lights in the stables are DALI-controlled as well, allowing the owners to fine-tune the lighting with precision, for example when a mare needs to be monitored.
In reality, every installation is custom work. We build and program to the client's wishes. That's what makes each project unique and challenging for us.
Comfort in everyday life
The Qbus installation in this villa was designed to make the residents' daily lives as comfortable as possible:
Nighttime navigation: sensors were installed under the bed to activate an LED strip the moment someone gets up at night. Combined with dimmed lighting and low wall lighting, this provides enough visibility without disturbing a good night's sleep.
Instant hot water: as soon as the light switches on in the bathroom, a circulation pump starts automatically, ensuring hot water is immediately available.
Discreet heating: to avoid disrupting the home's sober design with conspicuous thermostats, the push buttons in the rooms were equipped with integrated temperature sensors. This allows the heating to be controlled discreetly and efficiently via the Qbus system.
Ready for the future
When designing the Qbus installation for this villa, the future was kept in mind as well. The installation is prepared for the integration of charging stations, which can easily be controlled later via the Luqas module. On top of that, the installer, KC Elektriciteitswerken, has already provided for the control of the irrigation system for the beautiful garden. This makes the home future-proof.
A successful collaboration
The realization of this project is thanks to the expert installation by KC Elektriciteitswerken. Their command of the available Qbus systems and solutions translated the client's wishes flawlessly into a reliable and user-friendly system.
