The smart motion and light sensor (SENMoLiWi) is a bus-controlled and powered sensor with an extra-wide detection area. With its variants for both recessed and surface-mounted installations (to be combined with SENTube), it is highly suitable for ceiling installation in residential and commercial projects such as living spaces or offices. The SENMoLiWi is available in a white or black finish.

How do you read an existing configuration?
This is a completely different procedure depending on the type of controller.
- For the CTD controllers this goes as follows:
In the SMIII via "File" or "Utilities / Setup / SD card", click on "Recover QDB from SD".
After confirmation you choose the name and location where the file should be saved. The zipped QDB file is then read from the SD card of the CTD and saved. With a positive answer to the question "Unzip and open restored QDB?", All data will then be immediately available. If the data you were still working on was not sent or saved, you will first receive a notification to do so.
- For a CTL controller follow the following procedure:
Because this controller does not yet have a large memory, only limited data can be recovered. Ao the names are abbreviated to 12 characters and serial numbers are not stored anywhere.
The first step is therefore to type in ALL serial numbers via SMII via "File / Modules". These 6-digit serial numbers can be found on every module (DIN rail, switch, detector, etc.). For the SWC0x switches, an extra option was provided to have them send their serial number via “Search for modules”.
When you then click on the "down arrow", you can read all this limited information.

Always use the latest software for configuration.
It is always recommended to use the most recent version. This version supports the newest modules and resolves all known bugs.
If, for example, you enter a serial number and the correct module information does not appear, you are likely not working with the most recent software.
A newer version will always be able to open the older files (.QDB) without data loss.

Function description
The SENPreLi is a discrete, white, round presence sensor equipped with 2 sensors that detect movement and light intensity (lux). You can also use a night function where the dimmed light circuit turns on at a lower intensity. This day-clock function can be activated via time schedules, logic, or standard operation.
The product is suitable for indoor ceiling installation. You can connect this sensor directly to the Qbus two-wire bus using the provided flexible connection cable. Configuration is done via System Manager III.
The SENPreLi, like every Qbus module, has a unique serial number (prefix 0058) that is entered during configuration in the System Manager III configuration software. The programmed data is stored internally in permanent memory. This sensor can receive firmware updates via the Qbus bus.
The sensor can directly control various I/Os based on these sensor values:
- Presence: The sensitivity has two levels. There is an adjustable sensitivity threshold for presence detection to activate the I/O via an “Activation trigger,” and to keep the I/O on, a lower presence threshold is adjustable with a “Retention trigger.” The delay time for when presence is no longer detected and the I/O must be turned off is adjustable between 2 seconds and 127 minutes. You can visually test the current presence detection using a scan function. Once the presence detection goes below the yellow line (retention), the delay time starts.
- Lux: Threshold >= or <= adjustable between 0 and 3000 lux.
The I/O to be controlled can be of the Bistable or Dimmer type. Therefore, the sensor can directly control a dimmer based on lux measurement and presence detection.
A blue indicator LED is provided for displaying presence detection.

Safety regulations
Read the full manual before installing and activating the module.
ATTENTION
- The module must be installed, commissioned, and maintained by a certified electrical installer in accordance with the applicable legal regulations of the country.
- Before working on the SENPreLi, the bus power supply must be turned off.
- Never connect external voltages (e.g., 230Vac) to the Qbus bus! This will cause irreparable damage to the modules.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- The module must not be opened. The warranty is void if the module is opened!

Installation
For the recessed version, prepare a circular opening ideally measuring 40, 44 or 48 mm. Connect the supplied cable to the bus cable. Then push the connections in sufficiently so that the sensor has enough free space. Open the spring clips and, without applying excessive force, insert the sensor into the opening. Do not press on the sensor during installation.

BUS connection
It is recommended to use the Qbus cable or any other cable with a minimum of 2 conductors of 1mm² as the bus cable. The green shielded EIB cable can also be used if the conductors are paired to achieve a minimum cross-section of 2 x 1mm².
Through the SMIII, you can configure each module via the bus. This is clarified through our knowledge center.
The SENPreLi can trigger presence and light level, and the SENMaxPre combines these with air quality, temperature, and humidity.
After entering the serial number of a SENPreLi module, the following screen appears:

De gekozen triggerinstellingen worden steeds verwerkt met een EN-functie. De I/O “Vergaderruimte” zal dus aan gaan wanneer er meer aanwezigheid gedetecteerd wordt dan de ingestelde activatie-trigger EN het lichtniveau minder is dan 20 lx. Nadat deze I/O geactiveerd werd, zal er niet meer gekeken worden naar de lichtmeting. Pas wanneer er geen aanwezigheid meer gedetecteerd wordt minder dan de ‘behoud-trigger’ en langer dan de ‘verlenging’, dan zal de I/O uitgeschakeld worden.
Een vakje aangekruist betekent dat deze trigger moet aan zijn, uitgevinkt betekent dat deze trigger niet mag aan zijn en GEEN vakje betekent dat deze trigger niet getest wordt. bv. Met enkel een uitgevinkt vakje bij beweging zal de IO dan AAN gaan wanneer er GEEN beweging is.
Via de knop “Lees stand” wordt de actuele stand van de triggers weergegeven alsook de gemeten lichtwaarde zal in het geel weergegeven worden.

If the sensor is too sensitive, the 'activation trigger' (green line) can be set higher. The I/O will only turn on if the detected presence exceeds that set value.
If the presence detection remains below the yellow line for longer than the 'extension' time, the I/O will turn off.
To change a trigger setting between <= and >=, double-click on it.
In the "Status-LED trigger" panel, you can set when the built-in LED should blink.
For example, if only "Light" is checked and set to 2s, the LED will blink every 2 seconds when insufficient light is detected.
These settings are always combined with an AND function.
Setting the Lux I/O allows you to configure a universal I/O that displays the measured light value. This I/O has a resolution of 0.1 lx and a maximum value of 30 klx.
The "Overrule LDR" should be used when multiple detectors are controlling the same lighting circuit in the same space. This I/O should then be set to the controlled lighting.
If 'Overrule' is checked in a trigger setting and this I/O is active, the trigger will consider the light measurement test as approved.
